Eighty-four years ago, Lucia Frandsen moved into the neighborhood at 318 Hudson. Many of you may remember her as the lady who was always sweeping the sidewalk or as the cheerful lady who loved chatting with all the neighbors and whose door was always open. Lucia was my beloved grandmother. After her passing my brother Dominic lived briefly among you. When he was gone, I moved in and later had my baby daughter here. In the short period of time I have lived here I have befriended several of you and have met many of you. You have been just the best of neighbors. However, the time has come for my daughter and me to move. We will miss this beautiful neighborhood - we will miss our house, but most of all we will miss living among you. Richard Matus of Prudential California Realty, our neighbor, helped us sell our two-unit building achieving one of the highest prices per square foot in the history of Rockridge for a multi-unit property. If this was not enough, within one week Richard and his team worked around my 2-year old daughter’s schedule and managed to transform our building into a showpiece.
